Wildness Shady Celibacy

I'm writing a (paid!) article for work about Dark Fantasy (though most people think of it as paranormal romance...waterstones just kind of clumps urban fantasy/pr all together under the heading dark fantasy!)

They want me to do something on why it's become so popular, where it's headed and how it's evolving.

i know lots of my flist read this genre, what i want to know, is why do you read it? what got you into it in the first place?

and just for kicks, who are your favourite authors?

I'm reading Larissa Ione at the moment. she's all kinds of demonic awesome, if you've never read her you should!

The final edit has definitely tidied things up, so it's a little different from the version The Five have read, but not too much.
